Leona has shared photos with you.

Here are the pix from Mt Rainier National Park. My batteries died early, so I didn't get that many pix.

Mt Rainier hike

Hello, everyone.

I went to Mt Rainier this saturday, and I have to say it was better than hiking Palomar Mountain or around Mission Trails. I didn't ACTUALLY hike Mt Rainier, just in Mt Rainier National Park. Snow is still melting in some of the peaks there, so I a lot of waterfalls and rivers from it. It was sunny, but the air was VERY crispy.

My Unit Manager and her friends took me hiking. That's the first time I ever done something ouside the hospital with any of my unit managers. She's very easy to get along with. So, Jay, when you come up to Seattle, and decide to work in downtown instead of Bremerton, check out Level 7 & 8 and ask for Rowena.

She was talking about snowshoeing around Mt Rainier last winter, and if I returned for the winter, she'd take me with her and friends as well. I think she was working it to keep me here, and it is tempting, but I already have obliations in Denver. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone, and write again soon.

Bite of Seattle

If you want to know what kind of restaurants are in Seattle, and where, this is the best place to sample their food. Bite of Seattle is a culmination of restaurants throughout Seattle area in rows of tents, selling samples of their menu for a weekend. It was like going to Del Mar Fair, and walking through rows of food vendors. I went with my friend Vicky on Sunday. There was one vendor that was selling "Elephant Ears." I never heard of it, but it tasted like flattened Flunnel Cake, covered with Cinnamon sugar. Good and fattening. They had 4-5 stages with live local bands. I wish I had pictures, but I forgot my camera. Out of all the times I've been sightseeing, I forget my camera now. I think it's the heat. Anyways, I'll post later with more scenic pix of Seattle. I have a little over one month to go in Seattle before leaving for Denver, CO. So, I have a lot to see crammed into this last month.

Talk to you soon.

Home sick for San Diego

Ok. It's been a month and a half since I've been in Seattle, and I've done very well not being homesick for San Diego, but after my family left home I decided to rest from the week of fun. BAAD idea. Homesickness started to set in this week. I miss In-and-Out burger runs, srolling through Seaport Village, Upstart Crow Coffee shop's Iced blended Mochas, studying at the Living Room Coffee house, going to small group, playing gamenights with my family (and of course, my family and friends). I need to go back sightseeing again. For now, I'm glad I'm back at work.
