From Austin, TX to St Charles, MO.

Wow. I haven't blogged for a whole month. Sorry. I went adventuring around Austin, and other areas just outside of Austin. I also have pics, but haven't had the time to send them to you. Hopefully, I will soon.

Well, here's the update. I'm in St Charles, MO now. My last week in Austin was mainly to spend time with my friends from church. Last Saturday, my church had a get together called, Crawfish Boil. With that name, you probably know what was on the menu. That was my first time eating crawfish, cajun style. It was like eating shrimp, but I had to get through harder shells. Wednesday was my last day in Austin, and after packing most of the day, I went to my church's church-wide prayer meeting one last time, then went out to eat at this serious southern comfort restaurant with my friends. The South really know how to eat fattening foods.

I left Austin Thursday morning, and stopped at Muskogee, OK. Then, I continued on to St Charles the next day. There were no kodak moments to take during my travel to Missouri. All farm and ranch land with small towns scattered around. Being a city girl, I wonder what it's like to live in a small town like Crowder, OK. Pop:<20,000. Instead of having a sign saying, "Welcome, to Crowder", each small town I came to had a water tower in the middle of town with the Town's name on it. Like a beacon saying "you're in Crowder territory." I guess you can't do that with San Diego, unless it's on Mt Soledad.

Right now, I'm in my new apartment, and relaxing before my sister Lora takes me to the store to go shopping. I haven't seen my sister for a long time, so it was great to see her. When I got to St Charles, and unpacked, Lora took me out dinner to catch up. I did that as well with my brother Denny in Denver. So, Wayne, when I get back to San Diego, I expect you to buy me dinner ;-D. jk.

I hope to find new adventures here in St Charles/St Louis. We shall see.
